About this print
Retro travel poster for the red planet - Olympus Mons at dawn, in the style of the golden age of rail posters.
Olympus Mons is the tallest volcano in the solar system, about 22 kilometres high and wide enough to cover most of England. On the actual mountain the slopes are so gentle you would struggle to tell you were climbing.
The print borrows the look of 1930s railway posters, sold as if Mars were a weekend away. It is the most playful print in the range: good for a child's room, a study, or anyone who works in engineering.
Mars has two small moons, Phobos and Deimos, and a day only 37 minutes longer than ours. Its red comes from iron oxide, rust, in the dust that covers the surface.
